Why a partial or full rewire might be needed

There are various reasons a property may need a partial or full rewire to remain safe, this includes:

  • blowing of fuses or regular tripping of the circuit faults with electrical installations

  • Properties that are more than 20-25 years old; electrical installations may have deteriorated.

  • Installation of several new circuits

  • Upgrade of building/property

  • Floods or fire damage may have caused the electrics to become unsafe.

Buying a new home

If you are buying a new home that is older than 25 years old, it is important that the wiring is checked to understand the current condition and ensure it meets the current safety standards. Campbell Electrical will be able to tell you what work is required and provide you will an estimate cost for the work is required, and provide you with an estimate cost for the work that would be needed, so you can take this into account when making your offer on your new home.

Initial assessment

To understand the current condition of the electrics, an initial assessment will be carried out. This will include a safety inspection and testing to identify any problems with the existing wiring: enabling us to provide you with a detailed report and quotation for the work that is needed to your property.
